NOTD - Sparkly!

I know I did a 'NOTD' like 1 post ago but I thought this one was definitely worth showing you! If you've been reading my blog for a while now then you'll know that one thing I LOVE is GLITTER! And everything sparkly ha :) I used 3 coats of OPI DS Coronation and then topped my ring fingers with silver glitter to give my nails that extra glam! I have previously done a 'How To' glitter nails post here.
This is definitely an attention nail but there's nothing wrong with that! I find that the glitter really compliments the holo nail polish. I hope you like it, I love statement nails! xox

MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover

Hey everyone :) I've just finished work for today and I'm fairly tired so I thought I may as well do this little review for you whilst my eyes are still open! I received the MAC Pro Eye Makeup Remover in the post 2 days ago and I've already fallen in love with it! Kindly, my boyfriend James bought this for me along with the 212 and 224 brushes IDEAL haha.

Lets start with the facts... It's non oil based which is great as it shouldn't case 'break outs', it's non fragranced which I was surprised at as I was expecting a bad whiff of chemicals when I opened the bottle ha, I usually just use makeup wipes but it was starting to make my eyes sore so I decided I wanted a proper remover!

The bad side to this remover is that it isn't that great at removing waterproof products, but obviously it will eventually but it just takes longer - which is fine for me as I don't wear any waterproof makeup ha :) The way I use it is to apply a few drops onto a circular cotton pad then just get right in there on my eyes! It doesn't sting at all which is amazing and I was so pleased with!

You don't need to rinse your face after use which is great and you can re apply makeup straight after use (I experimented and it worked really well ha). I've surprisingly read quite a few bad reviews on this remover but I think they are all just grumpy people! The only thing I would like to change about this is that I'd like it to come in a bigger size! I opted for the 100ml (30ml is also available) but it would be good if there was a 200ml as I can predict I'm going to get through this quite quickly! But never mind, I will definitely be repurchasing!! A definite 5* by MAC!! Do you have any makeup remover recommendations?? Mimi xox

Afternoon! Today I finished work at 1pm so I took a little drive with mum for a couple miles (I'm still learning, and she's still frightened) so I was very bored when I got home so decided to paint my nails as I haven't done so in ages!

I used OPI nail polishes, firstly Be A Dahlia Won't you, followed by Crown Me Already, then I Lilly Love You. Unfortunately I went a little overboard on the glitter so it doesn't photograph very well - that's my excuse anyway :P So I thought I'd give it a fancy little edit and show you a picture of one of my doggies Rambo aka Rammy!! Lots of Love everyone xox

French Connection Classic Connie Jacket

After months and months of trying to find the perfect jacket/blazer... it has finally arrived!! Words cannot describe how much I am in love with this jacket. It is described as an "effortlessly sophisticated work-wear look. Layer over a classic white tee or a printed shift dress for easy daytime dressing" and it is exactly that.

It is 69% Viscose, 21% Acrylic and 10% Polyester, so it certainly doesn't feel like cheap material or that you will have problems with the material.

I was devastated when I went online to purchase it on the French Connection website and it was out of stock... So I went on another website which stocks it... and another... and another!! I was literally about to burst into tears until good ol' mum called House Of Fraser in Exeter (where I originally tried it on but didn't buy it) and they only had one size 10 in stock and it was on the mannequin! So it cost me a further £7 delivery which is hefty but when I received it the next day I was chuffed to pieces!!
The jacket itself was £155 which I know some of you will think is too much (especially my dad lol - he doesn't understand.) but it is 100% worth it.

I will definitely be wearing this as often as I can, as shown in the picture you can wear it with a plain tee and jeans for a casual look, or wear with a nice blouse (AllSaints!) or dress and it will look fantastic. It will literally match well with everything as it is beautifully fitted, but not too much that you are restricted to your movements haha. This is my best buy of the year so far!! Please let me know your opinions! Is it worth paying all that money for?? xox

MAC Fix+

Hello everyone! The sun has been shining today so that always puts me in a 'bang tidy' mood (yes I have just been listening to Keith Lemon haha). I thought I'd share with you today my views on MAC Fix+ as I recently got it and showed you in a haul.

I purchased the 100ml with was £12.50, but there is an option to opt for a smaller version of 30ml which is £7. Even if you aren't sure on this product I would suggest to go for the 100ml as you'll be surprised how often you use it! And if you keep repurchasing the 30ml it will work out £23.33 per 100ml so just buy the big one! Haha I hope that made sense.

Initially the reason why I wanted to buy Fix+ was because of all the weird and wonderful things I've heard about it and the different ways you can use it! The main thing I use it for is to spray my brushes before I apply eye shadow, it makes the eye shadows look so much more like they do in the pan, so they are completely true to colour and look a lot more pigmented. It doesn't make it any more difficult to blend the colour either which I thought it might so that's fantastic! For an example below I have swatched Twinks by MAC and you can see the massive difference it makes!!

You can also use this method on your brushes when applying your liquid foundation which gives you that nice dewy finish.

Left is with using Fix+ and Right is without.

Another good thing I like to use this for is after I have a shower or bath my face seems to get quite tight and dry, so I do about 3 spritzes on my face and I feel nice and fresh again!
If you've done your foundation and applied your powder on top, if you feel your face is quite dry then do a few sprays and you will get a nice dewy sheen which isn't too over the top and doesn't look like you've just sprayed yourself with water lol.

I love that this is part of the Back To MAC as I'm sure I will be going through a lot of these! Definitely a 5/5 product and would recommend this to people of all different skin types! (I'm oily combination) I hope you check this out as it really is a great price for the product which is surprising for MAC haha. Lots of love and I hope you've enjoyed this post! Mimi xox

LIP OF THE DAY! Hey everyone, I've missed you all, so I'll defo be trying to blog as much as I can, thankfully I've been busy at work recently but it'll die down soon.

This is a short and sweet post, just on my lips today! Ha you can't say you don't like them ;) The lipstick I used was Naughty Saute by MAC, topped with Andromeda lipgloss by Urban Decay. This two products go AMAZING together and they really compliment eachother, and this sort of pink will suit all types of skin tones!

I really couldn't capture the sparkle from Andromeda but its beautiful hunnies!! Lots of glitter and of course that's my favourite thing :) I did a soft smokey eye with this lip. Lots of love xox
